The challenges of being a theatre designer - not the conceptual life of an artist we were led to believe it would be when we were in training - are all and more that Sheree describes.

It seems worth it, I suppose, when one's designs are realized. All the compromises, sleepless nites and backbreaking/leg weary trudging suitcases full of costumes and props across town all turn out alright on the night (or so we hope)!
