I'm sure it will Mike, because you'll be able to draw on all that past experience you have - good and bad!! I feel, we only really ever learn from our mistakes which make us better.

I'm sure it'll be great! You can't give up on the fringe - It's where tomorrow's stars are honing their craft......x

Hi have produced several shows on the fringe and vowed not to again. Especially after doing the Edinburgh festival a few years ago, with all that street selling put me right off. But now I find myself doing the Camden Fringe in August with my new show Sleazy Jet Musical. With all my past rehearsals I hope this one will stand out from the crowd.

I am an Australian relatively new to UK.

Q: How does an amateur actress get into a London fringe theatre production?
I am loving the idea, but I honestly do not know where to start.
I live East London way.
Can anyone recommend anywhere in particular?
I know it's a very broad question, but as I said...not originally from UK.

Thanks

having been converted to the wonderful world of fringe by the very funny and talented sister of matthew donovan,i would encourage everybody to give it a go.there is something special about being up so close to your entertainers, its very intimate and i always feel a great responsibility somehow.....i think that comes from knowing that those brave performers are doing what they do for the love of it and how many of us can say the same????

What a blooming excellent take on fringe theatre! I was getting all depressed that you only had 8 people and then I carried on reading and realised you live, you love, you learn and at the end it's all a big fringe sized hug of full of achievement and experience! Am inspired now to go watch a randow show at a random pub theatre where the tickets are not much more than the price of a glass of wine (as oppose to the West End where the tickets are not much more than a case of wine) after all - nothing to lose and lots of laughter to gain! Me and Him is top of my list and I'm sure Matt's Little Sister will take over the world one venue at a time...best of luck! xxx

What an inspirational article by Andrea Donovan. Extremely honest! The word 'Fringe' can immediately put people off. 'oooo no thanks, what would I want with fringe theatre when I can stay in and watch Dr. Gillian McKeith analyse a pile of shite!' VENTURE OUT PEOPLE. Me and Him is bloody hilarious. Too much crap on the telly these days. (see what I did there?) I love Fringe stuff.
