Performance videos on the web

I have begun compiling a list of performance videos on the web. While most of the current entries have come from Youtube I’m interested in any available video material, because the idea is to develop this into a permanent resource feature on London Theatre Blog. So if you come accross an interesting video, or you already have some of your own work online, please forward the link to me via the contact form and I’ll add it here. Thanks.

Misc Dance

- Fabien Prioville (4.40) : The brothers Bernard. Interesting work in progress dance video.

- Earth (8.06) : Third part of the dance film “Short meditations on three elements” by director Frank N. Featuring ex-Pina-Bausch-dancers Chrystel Guillebeaud, Geraldo Si, and korean dancer In-Jung Jun.

Misc Performance Art

- Stelarc’s Robotic 3rd Hand (3.00) : Early Stelarc performance- 1992 at TVU warehouse for a TV broadcast. featuring Stelarc’s robotic 3rd hand.

Pina Bausch

- Cafe Muller (1.26) : Very short clip from Pina Bausch’s famous piece.

- The Rite of Spring (7.24) : Clip from Wuppertal Tanztheater’s production of “The Rite of Spring”.

Rotozaza

- Romcom (1.00) : Footage from a performance of Romcom.

- Five in the Morning (6.09) : Some footage from the Rotozaza show Five in the Morning. See my interview with Ant and Silvia of Rotozaza for discussions of both Romcom and Five in the Morning.

    Hi,

There’s loads of artists film (some dance film and performance) on this site http://www.ubu.com. It also holds lots of audio and performance texts agogo.

Looking forward to the radio article. Keep up the good work and have a grand Christmas.

    Bests, Matt

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. I use ubu.com too, actually I wrote a piece on it here at LTB:

By the way you don’t work for the BBC world service by any chance? I’ve come across your name before, or at least someone with the same name.

Have yourself a good Christmas too.

    Best wishes

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

I do indeed work at WS. Your name familiar but not sure where we’ve crossed paths.
