Pay-What-You-Can Theatre Tickets

While we need full-tarif audiences to keep theatre alive, the theatre should also be open to people on lower incomes. To that end I have begun compiling a list of pay-what-you-can nights in theatres around London. If your theatre has a similar discount scheme please contact LTB to get it listed here.

  • Arcola Theatre: “Arcola Theatre’s Pay What You Can nights are for those who find the regular price of theatre tickets off-putting. Pay What You Can tickets are available on most Tuesdays.”
  • Gate Theatre: Happy Mondays - “On Monday nights a limited number of tickets are pay-what-you-can. These tickets can be booked and are sold on a first=come first-serve basis.”
  • Tricycle Theatre: Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons are ‘Pay What You Can’ at the Tricycle. These are available in person on day of performance for the first 30 seats.
  • Riverside Studios: A variety of discounted tickets are available with prior enquiery, these range from Standby Tickets Early Bird (up to 33% off), Cheap Tuesdays (”Cheap Tuesday tickets are available for some performances.”) and general concession prices.
